Some of Croatia's hotels from the outside can appear to resemble the former communist days of years gone by, however the majority of them have had a makeover internally since the early 1990's.

There is a new 5* feel to certain parts, this is a good thing. At the moment accommodation in Croatia is still very reasonable-including the 5*. The lower budget has noted the improvements going on around, and have improved their own already high standards

Most are just a short stones throw away from the azure blue waters of the Adriatic, or tucked away somewhere inland, either way putting you in an idyllic location. The swimming pools are kept very clean, the food is of a very high standard and there is a general feel good atmosphere. In the resorts entertainment is available most evenings.
