Motovun | Novigrad | Porec | Pula | Rabac & Labin | Rovinj | Vrsar
Home to the 3rd largest Amphitheatre in the world after Rome and Verona, Pula is the largest of towns in Istria with a population of almost 60,000. The spectacular arena over looking the Adriatic hosts rock/pop concerts (last year including Anastasia, Jamiroquai, Andrea Boccelli) plus opera's and ballets. A night here really is promised to be a special one!
The island in the vicinity of Pula, Brijuni is a visit highly recommended. It has a zoo, pheasant farm and safari park with numerous diverse forms of animal life from throughout the world. Traces of human inhabitation on the island date back to the earlier neolithic period. Trips to the island can only be made escorted or as part of an organised trip.
